Frozen Hell, The Gift of Suss, Part 2

Having beaten off the chickensaurs, the surviving cavemen raced for the next room. As they entered, they felt the world shift again...the prehistoric jungle faded, replaced by rolling green hills and forests. Entering the room, they found cots with wooden chests at the end, pegs on the wall and green cloaks upon the pegs. Inside the chests were green cloths, but far too small for brawny cave women and men! But the cloaks looked stylish! Looking out a window on the far side of the room, one of the cavefolk spotted something big and winged fly overhead. The group left and walked back to the room on the opposite side of the "village green". As shifting took place again and they were back in the prehistoric jungle, several vomiting! A howl of chickensaurs - reinforced by friends - inspired the party to run back to "fantasyland". After recovering from the terror pee or pooping, the party tried the wooden door opposite the cot and chest room. Inside was a princess room. ...

Frozen Hell, The Gift of Suss, Part 1

The Clan of Ogg, a primitive group of cave dwellers living on the odd tundra, have sent a party of their bravest hunters, gatherers, and others to investigate a fallen piece of their Sun God Suss. Unfortunately, the Gift has fallen in the Dread Forrest, a distant and foreboding wooded area in a great depression zone. Our (0-level) heroes set out in a straight line for the forest (surprisingly, John is very direct in his tactics). After half a day crossing the hunting lands the party encountered a wounded lion dragging a strange corpse of a red man. To get a closer look, the party fought the lion (losing one in the process) and looked over the red corpse, one took the remains of a silver tunic the strange man wore and all were impressed by the 7 fingered hands. The party continued their journey and camped for the night. Through the night they were attacked by hyenadeons, which killed three more of the party.  Just before entering the forest, the party encountered a party from ...

Hence, they met Consul Ware, who interrogated them about the whole death of the Monsignor and the odd goings on. Frank finally showed up, and thankfully did not share all of his conspiracy theories at once - so Consul Ware opted to accompany the group to visit the Order of Father Fernando north of Havana.  At the monastery, the group chased down Brother Antonio and questioned him about the Monsignor. Luther ...

Plumbers Needed at Highdark Hall!

Again gaming with the ever surprising Noah Steven's, this time in Dark Dreary Old England (or something like it). Pumped at trying the Transylvanian Adventure rules - an early alt setting for DCC (think Victorian Hammer films). The Cast: Noah - The Judge Mark - Theo Wells, Neutral Wizard (1st Level)/ Outlaw Michael - Dubo, African Albino (oft confused with being a vampire), Neutral Thief/Cutpurse Carver - Blue-eyed buxom blonde brute Huntress from the Appalachie Mountains, Neutral {This group is BEGGING for a Druid/Neutral Cleric} The band started at Highdark Hall at some kind of fete.  Afterwards, we were to  meet with the (butler?head zombie?) named Ricketts...who we were all SURE was some kind of undead. Anyway, Lord Highdark had a problem for us...his plumbing was backed up. A little confused, the three agents looked at each other and professed a lack of both plumbing training and the requisite Union card. Rotting Rickets assured the party that it was a more 'un...

Noah Steven's run Sour Springs Holla

When I spotted Noah posting a game on the DCCRPG Google group, set for Thursday night, I was hooked. Past experience with Noah as a Judge was he runs a pretty fast paced and wild game - sold! Noah'd posted either Sour Springs Hollow or another funnel (with a vote on which) - but I could not tell you what that other funnel was - I latched onto the Sour Springs / Chained Coffin adventure - which I've wanted to run or play in for a while. I passed my Luck check and the voting was something like 78% for Sour Springs...winning! Players and 0-Levels Cast: Todd Lars the Potato farmer and his goat Cloe Frederick the Arm Wrestler, a woodcutter Eric Bo the witch liquor bootleggers asst Carver the muscular buxom blonde woodcutter Paul Jules the Dwarf Jeff the Woodcutter The characters were invited to the 140th Birthday Party of  Ando Moscovitch in Absentia (a Hobbit with a shady past). Each arrived with their gifts - and a most of the part were woodcutters, Ando ...
