Czech Resistance:
Alex (Conrad) - A religious, if sometimes thief, young man
Pavel (Julian) - An ex-student in Prague, possibly a communist
At the end of last session we left the MI6 agents with two Czech survivors of a massacre, in a small clearing now covered with bodies of dead Germans, Czech partisans and the dead Radoslav.
The two resistance members, Alex and Pavel offered to take the party to a safe house in Grosseplacen, but first Alex insisted on taking care of the bodies. He was deeply religious, although a poor thief. He almost immediately was in an arguement with Pavel, an ex-student in Prague with communist leanings. In between hiking and arguing the two Czechs shared that the Germans were up to something involving children in the Castle and that Father Andrej was either a Saint (Alex) or a egotist on the edge of sanity (Pavel). Eventually, around daybreak, the two partisans lead the agents to a small cottage and met an old woman (Babushka) who hid the group in he cellar. The next morning, Alex and Pavel went in search of one of the Three Kings - eventuially they found Vaclav, an ex-Czech Army officer and deadly pistol shot who visited the agents. He was pleased with the radios and the explosives that they had brought and planned a training session with DR. Phillips, Clifford, and Dr O'Sullivan. The rest were to wait...which they did not do...
Alex went out to try and find Father Andrej, but was busted by the German/Collaborator patrol. Feeling uneasy, Victoria and Pavel went out after Alex. They caught up to hi as the Germans were marching him off to the station...and immediately attempted a "rescue". In the ensuing gunfire, two German soldiers and Alex lost their lives, while the bleeding collaborator crawled down the street alerting the Germans.
With Grosseplacin getting hot, the party bailed out into the woods (again) Victoria and Pavel went on a meandering journey through the woods, eventually ending in hooking up with Father Andrej's partisan band of crazy fanatic (but not Andrej). The trainers, left the newly skilled partisans they were training and went to find Father Andrej - which through a little luck they did.
Now overlooking the castle, it sounds like Andrej is going to begin his assault to rescue the children and end the menace of Castle Carlstein.
Having met up with both Vaclav (one of the Three Kings) and Father Andrej, the only mission task not complete for our agents is to find out what is happening at the Castle, and possibly stop it...looks like they are along for the ride, one way or another...
Next session, Storming the Castle, or...lets try to remember that we have NPC meatshields!!! (O'Sullivan and Giovanni)
