The prevous session had Mr. Phillips, Max, Siomon and Ontario investigating the Black Stone at the Museum of Antiquities in Cairo while Victoria "took the waters" (ie recovered sanity and health) in Alexandria. Although Siomon was more interested in meeting up with  the lovely blonde Museum Assistant, Mandmoiselle Miechelle, the rest were able to find a with the "Sun Heresy" which lead with a Major Alyoisus Bayden...and his best bud Sheik Janin, who them on a weird quest for lotuses and talked about glowing shields followed by a vision quest in a well...

Anyway, the party now figured they needed to get to the Temple of Hathor by Dendera, on the west side of the Nile. There they would travel to the Underworld to get what they sought (another shield). They came back in the morning, and Janin gave them Red Ale (made from the Blue Lotus) that would aid them in their journey.

Meeting up with Siomon after his hot date, the group now figured out how to get to Dendera - conveniently, Dr. Adley had leased a Egyptian junk for her vacation down the Nile. Inviting themselves, the group had a nice, and mostly uneventful week long cruise down the Nile. Only interupted when they passed by the Akanaken ruins, where a European party was excavating a courtyard. At the last moment, as {I forget what you named the boat} turned a bend, Victoria spotted a Blue Robed Monk - like the one seen at a dig site in Rome. Told by the Captain that rapid turning of the junk was not an option, the group continued to Denderra.

At Dendera, they rented trucks and drove the short distance to the Hathor temple. As it started to get dark. Siomon met with the watchman at the temple and stood guard as everyone else crawled into the crypt under the temple. Victoria stood watch as Max, Phillips, Ontario, and Sgt Atwood partook of the psychedelic red ale.

...And awoke in the Egyptian Underworld. Ontario showed his value as an Egyptologist and was able to explain some of the strange journey that they went on, walking through an endless desert to two mountains with a setting sun. The walk actually went quick, and they soon arrived at a massive gate and high ebon wall that stretched out on either side into eternity. Encountering a giant snake (that talked and played chess) and a foursome of desiccated mummies, all where asked why they were on this road. Everyone answered truthfully, and the gate opened and they passed through...to another desert with a distant mountain range. Soon, another gate, and another snake who challenged Sgt Atwood to Senet...an ancient Egyptian chess game that noone knows how to play in the modern era...but, for some reason, now all of you did. Sgt Atwood beat the snake (who could move pieces somehow without hands). And the party was let through the gates.

After a couple more deserts and gates and Snake Guardians and mummies, who, after the first two sets just watched the party and allowed them through, you all came to a smaller version of the Hathor Temple. Entering the party had to make reed chains and then crossed a lake to a small island in a convenient reed boat. At the other side if the lake, Mr. Phillips was last off, and just caught a glimps of a blue robbed figure as he stepped off the reed boat. Before the Dutch engineer could say anything, the lake burst into flames and the party was attacked by a giant worm with faces all over it. Figuring the reed chains were good for something (Shiek Janin had insisted upon them) the party took to whipping the giant worm, even at the faces bit and the worm tried to belly roll over the characters. The party won in the end and the worm melted into the earth. Victorious the party entered the small building on the island and were presented with four alternatives to the Sun of Aten. They got it on the first shot and awoke in the crypt with Victoria.

Victoria checked her watch and the party realized that the sun was rising soon, and they better get back to the surface. Just as they started to leave, they heard the distinctive crack of gunshots...

{Yeah...I added that last bit, but it should let Nick know he needs to be at next game on time, as Siomon will start off in trouble!}
