Sciuons of Punjar, Part 4 The Bandits Lair

Cast Keith as Rayburn the Thief and Emyrs the Elf Kathy as Kiya the Albino Halfling, Kitilia the Albino Dwarf, Kilcia the Albino Cleric of Mardua John as Badger the Child/Cat Wizard and Amar the Desert Marauder Walter as Hanur the Dwarf and Gildarin the Elf After recruiting more help at Habbib's Tavern (Hanur and Gildarin) the party set out for the alleged bandit lair, their one lead on finding this witch responsible for the tomb robberies. Approaching at night, the party sent Ryaburn ahead to scout. The thief noticed a hidden watch sight and managed to alert the others. He also noticed what looked like an alarm. While Rayburn cut the rope leading to the alarm, the rest ganged up on the two watchmen. Due to Badger's spider web and a little luck, the guards were quickly dispatched and the party found the cave entrance to the lair. Cast: Kurt as "Sly" (Petty Officer Murphy) a US Navy policeman (aka Shore Patrol) Kathy  Christian as LT Phillipa "Phil" Richmond, USN Nurse Andrew as LT Michael Everhart, US Navy Doctor of Medicine Nick as Professor Estoban, Spanish Archeology Professor Colton as Maeria, Spanish Grad Student with a secret past John as Vargas, Peruvian Lumberjack/Guide NPCs  Germans: Fraulein Falk, Aviatrix; Feldwebl Voss, adventurer; Vinzenz Fromm, Explorer; Faramund Armbruster, Antiquarian Emelein Huaman - Landers Plantation Groundsman/Scout Senor Qari Morales - Landers Estate Manager The party completed their foggy journey on the USS Seabird and disembarked at Pimental Pier the sea port near Chiclayo. Beyond the light, they hear a drum beating and chanting in what might be German, and see shadows moving beyond. At the height of the chanting they see a large figure just beyond the light raise a silver dagger, at its feet a kneeling figure. Cast: Keith as Rayburn the Thief and Emyrs the Elf Kathy as Kiya the Albino Halfling, Kitilia the Albino Dwarf, Kilcia the Albino Cleric of Mardua John as Badger the Child/Cat Wizard and Amar the Desert Marauder The session started with the group at Habbib's Tavern, still licking their wounds from the foray to the tomb of the Dev'shirs. After some healing, the group decided to return to Oskars Pawn Shop to get the information of who sold the necklace to him. Again, the group was too cheap to pay Oskar's price...butKilcia used her ring of Commune with Spirits to summon a former owner of the establishment...Oskar's father. The chance to speak with his long dead da made it worth Oskar's effort to tell that the guy that sold the necklace was Latimer, a hulking brute who clearly had a good bit of orc blood in him. Cast: The Section M Team Nora (Kathy), English Adventuress Mr. Phillips (John), Retired Dutch Engineer – been dealing with the crazy longest LT Arthur Tennison (Colton), British Navy, Secret Intelligence Service Yago (Kathy, then Nick), Indian Catholic Priest, Religious Scholar CPL Ron "Ferret" Farnsworth (Kurt) - British Commando David Rafael Manasseh (Colton) -  Businessman, Spy and Trader of Secrets {We were missing Eirkir and Nick at the start, so a couple players doubled up...then Nick showed and ran Yago} Jamished, Kouresh, Habbib, Fritz  Lieber  Brandt, Detective Khalid, and Dr. Heinz Pringle as themselves. Mid-January, 1940 The group started with a decision for all of the party to head to Yazd to retrieve the ancient fire needed to access the city. Cast Kathy as Kiya the Albino Halfling, Kilcea the Albino Dwarf, Kitilia the Albino Cleric of Mardua John as Amar the Desert Warrior & Badger the Child Wizard Ben as Renna the Elven Artisan, Emma the Radish Farmer, Alwin the Elvish Navigator, and Rickman the Halfling Trader Sinter, Baden Gruk, and Kisswhere as themselves...City Guard We started with Badger still trying to trade some hot magic scrolls and demon blood (with no success) and Amar trading his camel, shopping for a new scimitar, and getting robbed by a kid. Most effective, was Kitilia who had successfully set up a small chapel to Mardua in the Bazaar of the Gods. A few Guardswoman parishioners brought Sinter (a devout worshipper) to her chapel with a crossbow bolt in her chest. As usual, it was hot or frozen with the healing...this time hot! The wounded Sinter was completely healed through Mardua's grace and as a thanks Badan offered a gold piece (a months pay for him) to Kitilia, which she refused...as a ...

Cast: The Section M Team Nora (Kathy), English Adventuress Mr. Phillips (John), Retired Dutch Engineer – been dealing with the crazy longest LT Arthur Tennison (Nick), British Navy, Secret Intelligence Service Yago (Erikir), Indian Catholic Priest, Religious Scholar CPL Ron "Ferret" Farnsworth (Kurt) - British Commando David Rafael Manasseh (Colton) -  Businessman, Spy and Trader of Secrets ...and Jamished, Kouresh, Habbib, Fritz  Lieber  Brandt, Detective Khalid, and Dr. Heinz Pringle as themselves. January, 1940 The session started with the group reuniting in Bombay (after the events in the Jaipur Incident) and having decided to go after the Cup of Yima in Persia, instead of running back to England to piece together Section M (which was nearly wiped put in a German commando raid). In Bombay, the group was to hop the first transport smoking for the Persian Gulf. Conveniently, the  Emerald of Madras  was sailing with the 3 rd India...

Dungeon Crawl Classics: The Road to Punjar

Cast Kathy as Kiya the Albino Halfling, Kilcea the Albino Dwarf, Kitilia the Albino Cleric of Mardua John as Amar the Desert Warrior & Badger the Child Wizard Bauchelein, Broach, Held, and Emancipater Reese as themselves Having defeated the Emerald Enchanter and freed several powerful demons, the party departed the Citadel for the small village. There, they were hailed as heroes (a first) and offered the best rooms and food at the village inn. While pretty common, for a trio of subterranean albinos, a desert raider, and a boy born from a yokeless egg on the Plane of Law, well it was really good. The next day, the party equipped to head off to the big city of Punjar. Badger tried six-legged lizard busting, but did not have the cash to buy the weird steed. Cast: Mr. Phillips (John) - Engineer (retired) Nora St. Dennis (Kathy) - Adventuress CPL Ron "Ferret" Farnsworth (Kurt) - British Commando D avid Rafael Manasseh (Colton) - Businessman/Spy  Signalman Timothy Legg (NPC) - Young student of occult lore After the events from the night play, the party split to try and stop the insane cult of the King in Yellow from bringing their elder god to earth.  Ferret used his scrounging abilities to get a truck and Bren machinegun and some dynomite. He, Phillips, Nora, and Legg then headed for the Hindu Temple near the point where the King could enter our world to try to stop the ritual. David started with going to the British military authorities to get help. He convinced the loca; district commander to send a detachment of his regulars to try to stop the cultists at the mountain. Cast: Mr. Phillips (John) - Engineer (retired) Nora St. Dennis (Kathy) - Adventuress CPL Ron "Ferret" Farnsworth (Kurt) - British Commando David Rafael Manasseh (Colton) - Buisninessman  LT Arthur Tennison (Nick) -  SIS Agent in India Signalman Timothy Legg (NPC) - Young student of occult lore The party (Nora, Arthur, and Mr. Phillips) were assembled for an emergency brief by Captain Joshi - a team was coming from England in response to a weird astrological reading from the city of Jaipur. Apparently, only the party was in the area, and crazy enough to believe that based on reading some sundials, an Elder God was coming to destroy the Earth...or something like that. On the DC3 was David Manassah (newly minted spy/businessman), Ferret Farnsworth (Brit Commando), and Signalman Legg (a pimply faced 17 year old draftee). Emerald Enchanter Part 2: Finding Badger (and new zero levels!)

Kathy as Kiya the Albina Halfling, Kilcea the Albino Dwarf, Kitia the Albino Cleric of Mardua, Berry the Marauder, and Wilhelm the Merchant John as Amar the Desert Warrior,Foxy the Werefox & Badger the Child Wizard The group pushed on into the Lair of the Emerald Enchanter and found themselves attacked by Emerald Warriors, who when killed turned into (dead) naked peasants. Pushing on, Katilia and Kilcia were almost killed by a mass of six Emerald Warriors and Foxy ran away. With a little luck the group won out killing the six warriors while taking some serious damage themselves. Since Foxy had disappeared and many were hurt, they were slow to start looking for her (and when they did, they looked in the wrong direction). They found a room with a chair, a brain, a corpse, and a skull - but could not make sense of it all, and moved on. Cast: Mr. Phillips (John) - Engineer (retired) Nora St. Dennis (Kathy) - Adventuress Sergeant Constable Cecil Atwood (Mike) - Egyption Constabulary, seconded to SIS   LT Arthur Tennison (Nick) -  SIS Agent in India Yago D'Souza (Eric) - Jesuit Priest Captain Subedar Joshi - Indian Bombay Guards officer and MI5 Head The last session found the party heading to an ancient Aryan Monastery in the Ellora Caves by way of three military trucks and 20 Bombay Grenadiers. The party faced misgivings about a race against an unknown sect of Nationalists and either the German mystics (Nachtwolf) or the Blue Hat Monks, or both.  Fortunately, the weather was fine, if hot and humid, and the road, while rough, was passable.
