We started with Badger still trying to trade some hot magic scrolls and demon blood (with no success) and Amar trading his camel, shopping for a new scimitar, and getting robbed by a kid. Most effective, was Kitilia who had successfully set up a small chapel to Mardua in the Bazaar of the Gods. A few Guardswoman parishioners brought Sinter (a devout worshipper) to her chapel with a crossbow bolt in her chest. As usual, it was hot or frozen with the healing...this time hot! The wounded Sinter was completely healed through Mardua's grace and as a thanks Badan offered a gold piece (a months pay for him) to Kitilia, which she refused...as a result, Baden (an enormous southern warrior - clearly smitten by Sinter) instead aks if Kitilia and her "friends" would be interested in some of the "work" he gets offered sometimes as an adventurer. As a result of Kitilia saying yes...
The next day a letter arrives at Hbbib's Inn inviting the party to the Noble House Dev'Shir in the High and Low Court section of the city (the upper nobility section). This gets them in, and Badger immediately peels off to try to deal with the Wizards Guild...unsuccessfully (due to the need to know Knock to get in). Frustrated, Badger waits for the rest of the party.
Lady Dev'shir, after much pomp and circumstance, briefs the party that someone has broken into the family tomb and looted a necklace. Her son found the necklace in a seedy pawn shop called Oskars. She asks the party to find out who has done this crime and bring them to justice.
For 1000gp...
The party says yes...but tells Badger it is only for 500gp.
The party heads to Oskars, but cannot charm, intimidate, and is too cheap to bribe the man. Meanwhile, Amar fights some guards, a stirge and eventually bribes another guard to let him out.
 OK...the tome it is.
They get to the guard post and fortunately, Sinter is on guard. She lets them in with little problem and the party soon finds the tomb. Checking it out (they have a key) they find that the lock has been destroyed and the doors sealed with a magical lock. Also, the family inscription over the door has been booby trapped (with a magical psychic bomb). It goes off and hammers Kiya, Alwin and Rickman. Kiya is bleeding from the ears, Rickman drops screaming, and Alwin's head explodes.
Badger casts Arcane Thief on himself and with lost of Luck, is able to open the door. Kitilia lays healing on the survivors and they venture into the tomb...which opens into a dimly lit area with a fountain with a statue of an elder sage holding a sundial and a book, behind it a alter.
{Halted there...}
We end the session
