Following immediately after last session, Vargas decides to put his chainsaw to use and go cut firewood - accompanied by Maeria. In Dr. Hauer's tent, the doctor awakes from his morphine and attacks LT Everhart with a letter opener...but the small knife bounces off Ererharts stephoscope and Phil sticks the crazed man with a needle (filled with MORE morphine). At this point, Dr. Hauer is truely OUT for the night (if not dead...). The next morning, Sly discouvers a burn pit fi8lled with human bones (the other three archeologists) and Vargas finds a sack with a mask and blood covered sacrificial knife.
Ms. Falk is convinced and has Armbruster and Fromm gather the remains of the German archeologists and Voss take custody of Hauer. The party leaves immediately and turns Hauer into the authorities.
You are able to piece together, that Hauer was using the sacrificial knife to spill blood oin the mask in order to bring his wife and child back to this timeline. Your premonition (at the beginning of the story) was actually an echo of a past timeline. Thankfully, you only had to suffer that once, right Vargas?
As Falk hands over the mask and sacrificial dagger, Shore Patrol notices that the mask looks a little different. He later shares this fact with the Navy and is debriefed several times by the FBI and some Englishmen.
On the other side of the world...six months later, things will finally come to a head...in Greenland!
