Exploring Microbrews

So I have a new hobby, exploring (read: drinking) microbrews (of beer). Oddly enough, this hobby synchs quite nicely with my gaming hobby, at least with my current group.

Currently enjoying a nice 1554 Dark Belgian Ale by the New Belgium Brewing Company of Fort Collins, Colorado. Quite nice with a hint of chocolate.



I recommend it!

Harvest of Darkness, A Kingdoms of Kalamar Campaign played with Dungeon Crawl Classics

I started my twist in the existing DCC campaign, by putting the campaign in the world of Kenzer's Kalamar, and converting on the fly to DCC...what could go wrong? The Party: Tammi the Tattoo'd Thief ​Davne the Dwarf Warrior Woman  ​ ​Magnus the Dejy Tribal Warrior ​Bentley the very corrupted Wizard ​Thievin Steven the Resurrected Thief ​Nerelon the Fae-touched satyr warrior ​Jaelle the Cleric of the Unseen One ​ ​ ​ The group continued on the task that Baron Westlake had sent you on several adventures ago...namely to travel to the next closest port city (now revealed as Prompeldia) to establish trade relations (after the destruction of Portsmouth). After a tip off from a pair of Dejy (think native American) about people and animals being abducted, the party continued to the small village of Narmaren. Dungeon Crawl Classics Funnel - Madazkan's Court

Man, do I love a good Funnel. ​ ​This was a short notice game and we had Valor and Raven L. with four zero level Purple Sorcerer generated peasants each. We had another player who sadly needed to drop.  ​ ​The party established themselves as the Swarthy Rapscallions Adventure Company in Mustertown. They met Old Soily (proprietor of the Soiled Dove and sought out the Lady for advice before heading to the Sending Stone. I added a few nightmare effects that made it clear that Sender may have its own agenda, and the party soon found themselves deep in the Great Swamp. They did spot the ruined coliseum and headed in a direct line in that direction. Soon they ran into the lowland area with the dead opposuman and the crocodillos...and had their first casualty. For a moment it looked like a crocodillo TPK, but the tide soon turned and the party was rewarded with a little loot, including the Malloc statue.  ​ ​Travel to the collosium continued and they found themselves searching ...
