DCC: Lair of the Emerald Enchanter: Part 1

Cast
Kathy as Kiya the Albina Halfling, Kilcea the Albino Dwarf, Kitia the Albino Cleric of Mardua, Berry the Marauder, and Wilhelm the Merchant
John as Amar the Desert Warrior, Avery the Cleric of Choranis, Ederic the Hound, Foxy the Werefox & Badger the Child Wizard
The party climbs the foreboding plateau to rescue their "friend" Badger from the Emerald Enchanter. While not too keen on rescuing badger for Badger's sake, the runes indicate that not saving the troublesome wizard could bode a doom for this world (and they have destroyed enough already!). The citadel looks like a squat two story fortress, with a large first floor and small second. An enormous door is guarded by two emerald warriors. Foxy runs forward (as a fox) and the two "statues" come to life give chase.  After a short brutal combat, the statues are destroyed and Amar and Kiya pick the best emeralds out of the pile of remaining shards.
In a main hall, the party confronts a "tile golem" which is both hard to kill and able to summon additional "tile" allies. The shear ability of the party to inflict hurt beats the tile golems down and they move on with few wounds...all healed by Avery, Accidental Destroyer of Worlds.
Foxy uses her thief skills to find many secret doors and almost gives the party an early win by encountering the strange green sorcerer that owns the citadel (the Emerald Enchanter). The Green One sends two skulls to attack the characters then thinks to escape - but he clearly did not plan on Ederic the Meddling Mutt! The Mutt gives chase and takes a bite out of both the Green Wizard';s hindquarters (before being slain by a mass of flying skulls).
The skulls dead, the party moves forward, now in search of both Badger and the dog Ederic. In a long narrow hall they encounter another emerald warrior who manages to slay Avery, Accidental Destroyer of Worlds, before being chopped down himself.
The party takes stock of their situation, loot and losses and prepared to move on through the strange citadel to both avenge and free their friends...
