After successfully destroying the antenna array, radio, and stealing the code books at the Blue Hat Monk's monastery, the party looked down on the monastery as the monks reacted to the collapse of the antenna. After a few moments of indecision, the party took off down the ridgeline, heading straight back to the lake (4 miles away).
The party immediately heard the large guard dogs barking below the ridge and, looking back,
The ridgeline ran for two mile, Kai spotted four of the monks bounding up the mountain mystic levitation style, about 30' up a leap! Despite this, the party was able to stay ahead of the monks for two miles, until descending from the mountain. There they were sandwiched between four of the attack dogs, and three floating monks. Some good shooting dropped the dogs before they did much damage, and a well placed shot from Mr. Phillips assassinated the magic-using monk...causing the dead wizard and two fighting Dobdob's (monk warriors) to fall to their deaths!
Almost to the lake, the group ran into six dogs, another wizard, and two more Dobdobs. This time, fully half the party fell unconscious to wounds, before the wizard was killed and the dogs fled, leaving the last Dobdob to be gunned down by the rest.
Pulling their wounded comrades to the lake, everyone went in, but somehow Siomon did not come out! Dawa Badger asks if the missing man had lost his bead (given two sessions ago by the Lama) no one could tell, so the Dawa Badger sadly suggested that may have happened in the fight.
Saddened by the loss of their freind, the party hiked back to the Hidden Valley of the Last Atlantean and were greeted by the welcome sight of the C47 and the Lama's temple.
Next Time...Rewards...and back to the original Mission...does anyone remember it?
