World War Cthulhu: Operation Three Kings, Episode One

Cast:
Clifton Bower (English aviator)

Giovanni (Italian hitman)

Mr. Pillips (Dutch engineer and anti-facist)
Dr. Patrick O'Sullivan (madical doctor and informant on the IRA)

A mixed group of deniable and semi-deniable assets were assembled by MI6 Section D to parachute into German occupied Czechoslovakia and investigate rumors of German atrocities (for propaganda) and make contact with the emerging resistance movement.

The party started out reviewing the mission objectives (contact Czech resistance, find Father Andrej (codename ANGEL), and investigate whatever is happening at Castle Karlsten. The players picked a drop zone and made their parachute fall. Everyone was successful - except Victoria who hurt her back in the jump. Patrick (the Irish doctor) cared for her while the rest figured out where they were. Sufficiently fixed, Victoria went into the Krupna church looking for Father Andrej. He was not there but an old woman was, praying and lighting a candle in the remains of the church...the place had been looted and in the back rooms ransacked. After some convincing, the old woman told Victoria that the Father was wanted as a resistance fighter and was probably hiding somewhere in the woods around Castle Karlsten.

Victoria let the others know and Clifford (the pilot) worked to plot a course avoiding what the group thought were German patrol areas. It turned out that they were successful and made their way to the Karlsten woods with no incident. They also had a semi plan of heading north, but before they could set out, they heard gunfire.

Quickly and quietly making their way in that direction, they found a German patrol, lead by a Gestapo officer (complete in Black leather trenchcoat) interrogating and killing Czech peasants. Highlights of combat; Radomir's failed backstab of a soldier turning into a grudge match, the one resistance fighter psycho knifing a German guard (and the PCs watching him closely to make sure he wasn't a Mythos bad), and Clifford's (taking advantage of the 10 Luck point "break the rules" pulp rule) leaping on the back of a fleeing armoured car and popping the Gestapo officer in the head, wounding him so that he saw the big oak just before he hit it and died in a fiery explosion.

End of episode: Looks like the characters have found the resistance!
