Emirokol Was Framed!

Two sessions, rolled into one report!

Session 1: Flying Apes and a Door of Despair

Kathy as Tina the Chaotic Thief and Kilcia the Albino Cleric of Mardua and Katilia the Dwarf
John as Badger the Wizard and Amar the Dsert Warrior
Ben as Renna the Elf and Emma the Cleric
The group was on a shoppinmg trip to look for a new market street in Punjar. They needed a break (from the guilt) of releasing a random zombie apocolypse on Punjar every couple of weeks. Anyway, as they got close to the new shopping area, they heard cries of pain and spotted a bearded man in black (Emerikol the Chaotic it turns out) riding down the street on a demon horse randomly killing passers by.
And calling on his winged gorhellas to kill witnesses. The patry generally ended up fighting gorhellas...except for Amar who got a good cut on the wizard before he escaped.
After the fight Captain Rhal of the city watch came over to express his thanks and adk where the characters were staying...he may have a job for them. The characters told him about Habbib's Tavern and the Captain, a guild wizard and a commoner girl showed up that night. The job was to break into Emerikol's wizard tower and kill him while he was asleep in his lotus gas box...with all of these damned zombie attacks (see Scions of Punjar) the last thing that was needed was more ride-by wizard attacks. The party (especially Badger) agreed to do the killing...for 1000gp and any loot they could carry.
The Captain had some intel for the team. The grounds of the wizards tower were patrolled by man eating leopards and there was a password to get in. Ot, they could try for an upper level balcony.
The group's subtle way in was...to throw Amart over the wall to kill the leopards...which he did with a little belated help from Katilia. Amar tried his hand at skinning the leopards...and after the first mess, got a pretty cool bloody leapard cloak.
The door to the tower was an issue. The 0-level sucker that set off the first magic trap somehow survived...but the second trap rusted any metal larger than a dagger. After some precious magic items were threatened, the party was stuck with Amar, Katilia and {zero-level farmer idiot} on one side and the rest trying to think of a way in, without losing their sweet gear...

Session 2: Tower of Madness!

Kathy as Tammi the Chaotic Thief and Kilcia the Albino Cleric of Mardua and Katilia the Dwarf
John as Badger the Cat-Snake Wizard and Amar the Desert Warrior
Ben as Renna the Elf and Emma the Cleric, Daisy the Goof, and Mister Richard

The party ended up split into two "general" groups: Tammi, Kilcia, Badger, Richards, Renna who started outside the Tower and
Katilia, Amar, Emma, and Daisy in the entry hall of the tower.
Taken as two seperate parts.
The group in the entry hall moved up a staircase and found a higher level (that happened to be larger than the ground level) with an exit and a strange room. Opening the door and looking iun seemed a thing, so they looked in the seperate room and found that there were a bunch of 'goloms' lying on stone tables. Door shut!  Then it went bad. They tried a second "exit door" and the opener Katilia was wisked away to a room with a floating half orb throne(12-1). Instead of joining her, the others proceeded to try "other" exits, all being wisked away to "other" places. Amar went back to the room with the golems (4-1), Daisy to a hall with a cati-corrnered door (lvl2), and Emma to a strange observatory (8-1). <sigh>
The group that started on the ground managed to stay together while cutting a swath of destruction through the tower.
Tammi scaled the now sharp obsidion tower to the balcony and found herself fighting a ptaradactyl solo (not doing well). Fortunartely the rest were able to climb the twoer and join her in the upper floor and killed the flying dinosaur. Kilcia was able to heal the assassin. Pushing forth as a group, they found and looted a trophy room, then "warped" through a door to a room with a tube of water flowing up. In this they tied themselves together and then had to "swim" up the water-flow. Sadly, the ill-prepared Renna drowned. The group found themselves in a forrects of concrete pillars, shrowded in shadow. While the others sought to revive the dead elf Renna, a pair of basilisks attacked! In a viscious fight where Mr. Richards was eaten and most of the party paralyzed for a time, the two basilisks gave nearly as good as they got. But the fight ended with the party wounded but triumphant.
Taking a breath and preparing to try some healing the group looked around the strange forrest and finds it bounded on four sides, with a single door leading out... (Lvl9)
