Played in a wonderfully crazy Dungeon Crawl Classics game last night hosted by Stephen Murrish on G+. It was a great funnel with 0-levels making deals with demon lords for the resurrection of their pony, rabbits with murderous intent, root babies trading secrets for blood, intelligent ape/orcs, and this guy..

Sailors on a Starless Sea, in Miniature

Years back, I was at a convention in Biloxi, Mississippi and saw a guy running a massive dungeon crawl with miniatures and an enormous miniature dungeon, using the D&D 3.5 rules, The thing took up maybe ten large tables. Coolest thing ever. And I always wanted to do something like that - although the dungeon and how to build one on an economy escaped me. Fast forward a decade, and I am sitting at mt workbench looking at a Miniature Building Authority castle and some Dwarven Forge dungeon corridors...and I think, hmmm maybe I could run Sailors on a Starless Sea at a miniature convention. In this case, Fall In at Lancaster, PA in early November. Thus a project was started...which I am still nervous about, yet less so after my CCPA gaming group allowed me again to use them as playtesters for a mad scheme... Here are some pictures. Noah Steven's run Sour Springs Holla

When I spotted Noah posting a game on the DCCRPG Google group, set for Thursday night, I was hooked. Past experience with Noah as a Judge was he runs a pretty fast paced and wild game - sold! Noah'd posted either Sour Springs Hollow or another funnel (with a vote on which) - but I could not tell you what that other funnel was - I latched onto the Sour Springs / Chained Coffin adventure - which I've wanted to run or play in for a while. I passed my Luck check and the voting was something like 78% for Sour Springs...winning! Cast: Gian: Beltran the Thief and Biddle the Halfling Keith as Raeburn the Thief and Emyrs the Elf Kathy as Kiya the Albino Halfling, Kitilia the Albino Dwarf, Kilcia the Albino Cleric of Mardua John as Badger the Child/Cat Wizard and Amar the Desert Marauder Walter as Hanur the Dwarf and Gildarin the Elf (both drunk and left lying on the floor of the Famished Frogmouth Tavern) The group had found out from the brigands that the raider of tombs (the target of the 25gp, 250gp, or (actual) 1000gp bounty - depending on which story the K-girls werte telling at the time) was a witch holed up in a windmill ourtside of Punjar.
