The Hounds of Winter

Yeah. Its winter, Again.

I think that dark fantasy must often be written in winter,  The author, an indoor occupation, must often get the extra dark of a good winter season.

I certainly feel it.

Long nights, and darkness. Very depressing. Inspiring,

Niccollo "Nicky" Filipi, Insane missing SIS Agent   The party boarded the train in Vienna with a destination of Rome, Italy. They are headed there for two missions; an SIS agent has gone missing and their partner has sent a distress note to Vienna, and there are indications from Erlichmann's notebook that there are hidden Atlantean artifacts wanted by someone in the Nazi hierarchy located in Rome.  This episode was covered in "tradecraft" - the party moving through enemy country and trying to not be noticed. In fact, the most that could be said, by the end, was that some luggage went missing on a train, and that tourists were looking at the tourist attractions of Rome. Harvest of Darkness, A Kingdoms of Kalamar Campaign played with Dungeon Crawl Classics

I started my twist in the existing DCC campaign, by putting the campaign in the world of Kenzer's Kalamar, and converting on the fly to DCC...what could go wrong? The Party: Tammi the Tattoo'd Thief ​Davne the Dwarf Warrior Woman  ​ ​Magnus the Dejy Tribal Warrior ​Bentley the very corrupted Wizard ​Thievin Steven the Resurrected Thief ​Nerelon the Fae-touched satyr warrior ​Jaelle the Cleric of the Unseen One ​ ​ ​ The group continued on the task that Baron Westlake had sent you on several adventures ago...namely to travel to the next closest port city (now revealed as Prompeldia) to establish trade relations (after the destruction of Portsmouth). After a tip off from a pair of Dejy (think native American) about people and animals being abducted, the party continued to the small village of Narmaren. DCC: Lair of the Emerald Enchanter: Part 1

Cast Kathy as Kiya the Albina Halfling, Kilcea the Albino Dwarf, Kitia the Albino Cleric of Mardua, Berry the Marauder, and Wilhelm the Merchant John as Amar the Desert Warrior, Avery the Cleric of Choranis, Ederic the Hound, Foxy the Werefox & Badger the Child Wizard The party climbs the foreboding plateau to rescue their "friend" Badger from the Emerald Enchanter. While not too keen on rescuing badger for Badger's sake, the runes indicate that not saving the troublesome wizard could bode a doom for this world (and they have destroyed enough already!). The citadel looks like a squat two story fortress, with a large first floor and small second. An enormous door is guarded by two emerald warriors. Foxy runs forward (as a fox) and the two "statues" come to life give chase.  After a short brutal combat, the statues are destroyed and Amar and Kiya pick the best emeralds out of the pile of remaining shards.  In a main hall, the party confronts a "t...
