Abita Mardi Gras Bock - Nice Springtime Beer

While working on my Vampire, New York metaplot, I tried a new beer (for me) that was worth sharing...


I bought a party pack of Abita beer last weekend, mainly because it was the first craft brew I've seen from around New Orleans, LA - the same area where I grew up (the Gulf Coast).

Of the styles I have tried so far and all have been good, the stand-out for me is the Abita Mardi Gras Bock. I agree with the label, AMG Bock has a rich malt flavor and full body. I'll add that it is very smooth and has a hint of fruit, almost like a berry, but not excessively so.

I have not tried all of the Abita Party Pack yet, but I am looking forward to trying the rest.

House of Dust and Ash Part I of the Season Finale: False Redemption Surviving their release of the Dei-Phage (demon lord), activation of the Pax Machiana, the ravaging of Kephistron Altis, melting of the Most Holy Gilded Cathedral of Baraspine, and the discovery that the “Pope” of the Callaxian Church is, in fact, a heretic…well, let’s say our Murder Hobos have a “mixed” reputation…(although Drustos seems to have made out well enough…) It has been a month since and the Acolytes are abruptly ordered off planet.  As the adventure begins the Player Characters are transferred temporarily into the service of a shadowy and notorious figure in the Holy Ordos, Inquisitor Lady Oriantha Rathbone, on the bleak and poisonous industrialized hive world of Solomon. Emirokol Was Framed!

Two sessions, rolled into one report! Session 1: Flying Apes and a Door of Despair Kathy as Tina the Chaotic Thief and Kilcia the Albino Cleric of Mardua and Katilia the Dwarf John as Badger the Wizard and Amar the Dsert Warrior Ben as Renna the Elf and Emma the Cleric The group was on a shoppinmg trip to look for a new market street in Punjar. They needed a break (from the guilt) of releasing a random zombie apocolypse on Punjar every couple of weeks. Anyway, as they got close to the new shopping area, they heard cries of pain and spotted a bearded man in black (Emerikol the Chaotic it turns out) riding down the street on a demon horse randomly killing passers by.  And calling on his winged gorhellas to kill witnesses. The patry generally ended up fighting gorhellas...except for Amar who got a good cut on the wizard before he escaped.
