Favorite Authors Challenge I had a co-worker throw this idea at me and it made me think; Without pretense, look at your books and think about what author you would really be excited about reading...remove all of the tropes and BS...just which ones do you REALLY like. Cast: Clifton Bower (English aviator) Vladomir (Russian expat thug) Giovanni (Italian hitman) Victoria (English academic and idealist) Mr. Pillips (Dutch engineer and anti-facist) Dr. Patrick O'Sullivan (madical doctor and informant on the IRA) A mixed group of deniable and semi-deniable assets were assembled by MI6 Section D to parachute into German occupied Czechoslovakia and investigate rumors of German atrocities (for propaganda) and make contact with the emerging resistance movement. The party started out reviewing the mission objectives (contact Czech resistance, find Father Andrej (codename ANGEL), and investigate whatever is happening at Castle Karlsten. The players picked a drop zone and made their parachute fall. Everyone was successful - except Victoria who hurt her back in the jump. I started my twist in the existing DCC campaign, by putting the campaign in the world of Kenzer's Kalamar, and converting on the fly to DCC...what could go wrong? After a tip off from a pair of Dejy (think native American) about people and animals being abducted, the party continued to the small village of Narmaren.
